Micro Workshops
I'm looking forward to inviting people into the studio for micro workshops in the new year.
Space and facilities dictate what kind of workshops I can offer; it's not everywhere you can slosh around material in dye vats, and simmering eucalyptus leaves in small rooms is guaranteed to result in headaches.
But I believe sometimes what may seem like a disadvantage can be turned into an asset. My studio may be small, but it has made me think of how to share my love of using nature in art and craft in ways other than traditional workshops.
I have been planning a range of fun activities that will give participants a specific skill they can take away, use, and experiment with.
Unlike traditional workshops, my micro workshops are short (under two hours) and not expensive like a full-blown event. You could even fit some of them into a lunch hour.
I'm looking forward to meeting visitors to town who want to try something different, as well as locals curious about using nature for art. Check out the first micro workshops available in the link.
